2008 Summer camp applications are
closed.
Each Year the Hamilton
Fraternal Order of Police sponsors and hosts a youth summer
camp.
The summer camp is for children in our area, whose parents wish
for their children to enjoy the
unique experience of a summer camp. The camp will be held in
July 28th and 29th 2008 at the Cool Creek Park and
Westfield Fire Station 82. The camp will be from 8am to 8pm on
Monday July 28, 2008 and from 8am to 5pm on Tuesday July 29, 2008. This will
be a day camp with no overnight stay. The camp is free of
charge.
The camp is
for 11, 12, and 13 year old boys and girls. The children enjoy
many exciting
activities including,
Helicopter Demonstration,
K-9
Demonstration, and presentations by the Westfield Fire
Department,
S.W.A.T. team demonstrations
Officers from the D.A.R.E. Program
Computer
Internet awareness
The children
will also build friendships and self-esteem as they participate
in team oriented
activities. The camp ends with every child being awarded a
certificate, and a t-shirt,
as well as giving the children in our community the opportunity
to positively interact with
members of the Hamilton County Law Enforcement.
